BioBaraban.Com has it's roots in the "Russian" emailing lists maintained by the comapny founder Jake Berzon in the late 80' and early 90's. The company gained it's first web presence early in 1994, acquired its original domain name and became known as the Russian Jewish Community Center later that year. After much turbulance, positive change came with the acqusition of the Baraban.Com domain name five years later, in April of 1994. This was followed by the acqusitions of Russian Lounge 2003 and Odesskiy Listok newspaper in 2004. In addition to sponsoring our favorite San Francisco, West Hollywood and Palo Alto Russian festivals and various community gallas, new in 2005 for Baraban.Com are the major sponsorships of San Francisco International Arts Festival, Israel in the Gardens and the Los Angeles Sister City Festival.
